Mzungu Days is a book I wrote over the course of the
year I spent in Moshi, Tanzania in 2005. It actually started as a blog,
but by the end of the year my entries were of sufficient quantity and,
in the eyes of some kind souls, quality to have published into a book.
In early 2006 this stumbled-upon dream became a reality, and the
result is 146 pages of Tanzanian life from the point of view of one
Canadian mzungu in search of adventure and
fulfillment. Nothing fancy, nothing deep, just 30 short essays about
the weird and wonderful, Tanzania style.
If you're interested in acquiring Mzungu Days, click
here for more
information (you can pay online using PayPal, by mail, or we can arrange
another method). Each copy costs $20 CDN, of which half the
profits--roughly $5/book--will be donated to
Canada-Africa Community Health
Alliance (CACHA), a charity seeking to improve the health and lives of rural
African communities.
